What a year! |
| Building upon past neighborhood achievements, we’ve had a very busy year. Starting with our Halloween and holiday events, to Art at Schenley Park, to our new Easter egg hunt, and much more, we’ve averaged one event or activity per month. As we head into the fall season, it’s especially appropriate to be thankful to everyone who has made this past year so successful. Thanks first and foremost to the 150+ neighbors who have joined, donated or volunteered, especially our officers. Thanks also to all the agencies and businesses that have supported or sponsored our many events and tree plantings: State Representative Julio Robaina, Ted Seijo of the Dade Community | Foundation,
Hands on Miami (Stefanie Cole),
Treemendous Miami (Karen Shane and Amy
Creekmur), Miami-Dade Parks Dept (Pedro
Reynaldos), Miami-Dade Cultural Affairs
Dept (Dana Pezoldt), Leslie Veeber’s Jungle
Garden, and neighbor Alex Cazo’s Ecotree
landscaping firm. Special thanks to County
Commissioner Rebeca Sosa and her invaluable
staff for supporting all of our endeavors.
We couldn’t do it without you.
Please join us and get involved. Together
let’s make our neighborhood an even more
special place to call home. –Ralph Rosado, President |
